Muscle Building Personal Trainer

Most people trying to build muscle are stuck on a program that stopped working months ago, and they don’t know it — because the weight on the bar hasn’t gone up, but they haven’t changed anything to make it go up either.

The plateau

Why Lifting the Same Weight Every Week Doesn’t Build Muscle

The number has to move.

Muscle grows in response to a demand it hasn’t met before — more weight, more reps, or better control than last time. Repeat the exact same session week after week, and your body has no reason to change. It already handles that weight fine.

This is the single most common reason people plateau: not a bad exercise selection, not the wrong split — just the same numbers, session after session, with no plan to move them.

Every session I bring your programme with me and log exactly what you lifted last time. That number is the target to beat this session — not a guess, not “however it feels today.”

The trial session costs €50 — deducted from your first month. See exactly how it works →

Nutrition

Why More Food Doesn’t Always Mean More Muscle

A surplus, not a free-for-all.

The instinct is to eat as much as possible — more food, more growth. Past a certain point, that stops being true. Eat far beyond what your training can use, and the extra doesn’t turn into muscle, it turns into fat, and now you’re both bigger and further from how you actually wanted to look.

The nutrition side of this is about a surplus that’s big enough to fuel growth without being so big that most of it goes somewhere you didn’t want it to.

Method

Technique Before Load

Compensation isn’t growth.

Adding weight to a movement you haven’t actually mastered doesn’t build the muscle faster — it usually just recruits other muscles to compensate, so the one you’re trying to grow does less work, not more. It’s also how most training injuries happen: not from lifting heavy, but from lifting heavy with a movement pattern that was never solid to begin with.

That’s why every new exercise starts light, regardless of how strong you already are elsewhere. Once the movement is clean, the weight becomes meaningful — and that’s when it goes up.

Questions

Some Things You Might Be Wondering

Before you ask.

Why haven’t I gained any muscle even though I train regularly?

The most common reason is that the training itself hasn’t changed in weeks or months — same weights, same reps. Muscle only grows in response to a demand it hasn’t met before.

Do I need to eat a lot more to build muscle?

Not as much as most people think. Too big a surplus adds fat faster than it adds muscle. The plan is built around a realistic surplus based on your actual training.

How do you track whether I’m actually progressing?

I log your numbers every session — what you lifted, for how many reps. That’s the real measure, not how sore you feel afterward.

Can beginners follow a muscle-building programme, or do I need experience first?

No experience needed. Technique gets taught and corrected from the first session, and load gets added once the movement is solid.

Can I try a session before committing?

That’s what the trial session is for — €50, deducted from your first month.
