Strength Training Coach

Most people chasing strength make progress for a few weeks, then stall — and the usual response is to push harder, when the actual problem is that nothing about the plan has changed since week one.

The plateau

Why Adding Weight Randomly Stops Working

Early gains run out fast.

Early on, almost anything works. Any consistent training makes you stronger for the first few weeks — your nervous system is just learning to use the muscle you already have. That’s why beginners progress fast and it feels easy to add weight.

That phase runs out. Past it, strength only comes from a plan — a deliberate sequence of how much you lift, how often, and when you push versus when you back off. Add weight whenever it feels okay, with no structure behind it, and you’ll stall exactly where the “add weight when it feels okay” approach stops being enough.

Every session, I log exactly what you lifted last time, so the plan is always built on real numbers — not on guessing what today’s version of “heavy” should be.

The trial session costs €50 — deducted from your first month. See exactly how it works →

Why Technique Matters More As the Weight Goes Up

The flaw doesn’t change. The stakes do.

At light weight, bad technique mostly just looks bad. At heavy weight, bad technique is how people get hurt — the same flaw that didn’t matter at 20kg becomes the thing that injures you at 80kg, because there’s no room left for the body to compensate.

That’s why I don’t let load run ahead of technique. A lift gets heavier once it’s controlled at the current weight, not because a certain number of weeks has passed. It’s a slower way to add weight than most people expect — and it’s the reason people who train this way keep progressing for years instead of getting hurt and starting over.

Recovery

Recovery Is Part of the Programme, Not a Day Off From It

Getting stronger happens afterward.

Training breaks the muscle down. Getting stronger happens afterward, while you recover — not during the session itself. Train the same muscles again before that recovery is finished, and you’re not training harder, you’re just training on top of unfinished work, which is where soreness turns into a plateau or an injury.

That’s why your programme includes how many sessions a week actually make sense for how quickly you recover — not just how motivated you feel. Two well-recovered sessions a week beat four sessions where the last two are running on empty.

Questions

Some Things You Might Be Wondering

Before you ask.

Why did my strength stop improving even though I keep training?

Almost everyone makes fast progress in the first few weeks, because the body is just learning to use muscle it already has. Once that runs out, strength only comes from a structured plan — not from adding weight whenever it feels okay.

Is strength training different from muscle-building training?

They overlap, but strength training is specifically about progressing key lifts in a planned way. Muscle building can happen alongside it, but the focus here is the numbers going up.

Do I need lifting experience to start?

No. Technique gets taught and corrected from the first session, and load only increases once the movement is solid.

How do you know when it’s time to add more weight?

By what you actually lifted last session, logged properly — not by how the session feels that day.

Can I try a session before committing?

That’s what the trial session is for — €50, deducted from your first month.
